Summary of Qualifications: With over 25 years of professional experience, Joe has worked across the industry on Studio tentpole films, Streaming/Linear TV, and Commercials. His work has traversed a number of genres focusing primarily on action, movement and VFX cinematography. Always experimenting with new techniques, he enjoys collaborating and telling a great story through the lens. Joe is part of a specialty camera and stabilized platforms development team that manufactures a global shutter action/VR camera and the stabilized Roll Axis Mini gimbal. He was instrumental in bringing the Canon 5D SLR camera into mainstream production. Joe approached the Canon Professional Products team with the possibility of using the camera for some of the action sequences for Iron Man 2, realizing the implications of having a small camera system available to capture high value action shots, Canon engineered a manual camera control interface to accommodate the film. Today all SLR and mirrorless cameras have this similar interface . He is a master behind the camera and his work speaks for itself. Joe was 2nd Unit DP for “Reminiscence” and VFX DP for “Weekends With Adele” The Las Vegas Residency Show. His film operating credits include “ Lioness,” Dungeons and Dragons,” ”Black Swan," "Iron Man," "The Fast and the Furious," "Deep Impact," "Spider Man-2," and "Live Free or Die Hard”, to name just a few.
